text, install new themes in Windows

Customize our team is one of the tasks that we all love. One of the most requested changes is the theme, but how can we get a drastic change without having to install programs that we consume too many resources? Here the answer ..

UXTheme Multipatcher is a simple program, but rather an upgrade to Windows since it is only limited to patch a DLL (uxtheme.dll) responsible for the visual styles in order to accept unofficial Microsoft alternatives.

With this software we can install without problems visual styles (or themes and visual styles, as they like to call them) on our team without having to use software like Windows Blinds to "suck" without memory remedy.

Downloading and installing software can get the download link I provide:
- Download: Rapidshare / RAR / 1.1Mb / No password.

When will we run the following message:

If we feel like we read all the content or Olympian, but we give Patch with eyes closed. The installer will automatically detect the operating system that we possess (supports Windows XP SP1, SP2 and SP3, plus Windows Server 2003 SP1) and we show them in a message, choose " Ok . "Now, remember that this program replaces a Windows file, so we'll get a warning:

That basically tells us that will other Windows notice reminding us that we will replace original file and we ignore it, even put the Windows CD when prompted, but choose the option "Cancel ." Indeed that happens and I obediently follow the steps.

Finally we will have to restart the system. In return, we will not see any change (!), but if we can install unsigned visual styles, great!.

how to get visual styles?

The question of the lot .. Then go to the maybe best graphics resource bank of the internet: Deviantart , more precisely in the category Visual Styles where you can download many designs that work seamlessly in our Windows XP patched.

I recommend the brilliant designs of the user " lassekongo83 ", noted for its finish, detail, simplicity and small size. Some examples:

the themes I have already, what I do with them?

To install say that you should keep them in the folder XP visual styles, but personally I think it is necessary, in fact I have a folder on my hard drive in a common and current location (possibly in C:, in Desktop, My Documents, etc.) with all my themes and I use just double click on them.

This is the visual style file for more information (and is what we run):

Well, that was it. Guided Hope that correctly and you're already customized with your desktop.
